Have children? You definitely know how hard it is to keep their rooms clean. Also, if they are younger children you will understand how messy it is. My kid likewise was a complete mess, I couldn’t even believe how quickly he would mess up his room.

Then and there I implemented some key things that help to teach my toddler to keep his room clean. He can never be completely dependent upon me. Someday he has to grow up and do his things on his own. Though, I have never been that hard on him. These 5 ways have helped me a lot to get him clean his room and without me asking him to do this.

Implement a Clean-Up Time

Chalk out the tasks which have to be done by them regularly. But don’t forget to include playtime in it. It will encourage them to follow it religiously. It will keep them alarmed always that they have to clean their room and maintain neatness around the house as well. They will not only keep their rooms clean but also make sure that every place of the house is clean and inculcate the same in others. It is also scientifically proven that if kids are given a routine to follow they tend to work more actively.

Once a Week Help Them Out

Cleaning

Don’t be too hard on your tots’. To have a strong bond with your children help them. This deepens your bond and, in a way, you can spend some quality time together. Your babies will also get time to share their feelings and secrets with you. This will be a complete win-win situation for you.

Put Back Things When You Have Used Them

You can teach your kids to put back the toys, books, stationery and other things after they have done using them. This way they will have a sense of keeping things in place not creating a mess out of it. Likewise, they will also learn to be not dependent on others.

Appreciate Their Efforts

Whenever they do their tasks properly either treat them by cooking their favourite dish or by a treat at their favourite cafe. But don’t make this a habit. It is good once in a while but not always. In this way, they will always stay happy and motivated to complete their tasks. And they will notice that you acknowledge their efforts as well.

Teach Them that Cleaning can be Fun

Cleaning can be fun. Make it fun for them. Also, you can make cleaning into a game to make it fun. Do one thing let them ring a bell when they finish a task. You can put a timer on a chore and see if they can beat the timing. Though, it doesn’t take much to make cleaning fun for kids. Similarly, it can make all the difference in their attitude about helping out.
